The Trans-Pecos Water Trust is a tax-exempt, not-for-profit corporation, organized under the laws of the State of Texas. Day-to-day operations are handled by an Executive Director, with a ten person volunteer board of directors that are responsible for strategic vision and organizational continuity.
TPWT Board of Directors: President : Mike Davidson, Alpine, long time river outfitter, board member of Far West Texas Regional Water Planning Group (WPG), and director of Visit Big Bend. Former member and president of Brewster County Water Conservation District. Luis Armendariz, Presidio, farmer, business owner, rights holder, former superintendent of Big Bend Ranch State Park. Mary Kelly, Austin, Senior Attorney Co-Program Director Environmental Defense Fund, past Executive Director of the TX CTR for Policy. John Karges, San Antonio, Director of the The Nature Conservancy 's Texas Natural History Survey, and former West Texas Program Manager of The Nature Conservancy.
______________________ TPWT Executive Director: David Crum, Fort Davis, is experienced in land & minerals management, contract negotiations, non-profit management, and serves as board member of Sibley Nature Center, Compadres del Rancho Grande (Friends of Big Bend Ranch State Park), La Junta Heritage Center, and Texas Parks and Wildlife Department's Game Bird Advisory Council.
