The Trans-Pecos Water Trust is a tax-exempt, not-for-profit corporation, organized under the laws of the State of Texas. Day-to-day operations are handled by an Executive Director, with a ten person volunteer board of directors that are responsible for strategic vision and organizational continuity.

President : Mike Davidson, Alpine, long time river outfitter, board member of Far West Texas Regional Water Planning Group (WPG), and director of Visit Big Bend. Former member and president of Brewster County Water Conservation District.
Vice President : Caroline Runge, San Saba . Presidio County native, Rio Grande rights holder. Menard County rancher and manager of Menard County Groundwater Conservation District and a Board member of Region F Water Planning Group.
Secretary: Ron Sommers, Houston, Presidio County landowner, expert in non-profit corporate law.
Luis Armendariz, Presidio, farmer, business owner, rights holder, former superintendent of Big Bend Ranch State Park.
Terry Bishop, Presidio, farmer, rights holder, board member Presidio County Groundwater Conservation District.
Mary Kelly, Austin, Senior Attorney Co-Program Director Environmental Defense Fund, past Executive Director of the TX CTR for Policy.
James King, Fort Davis, Conservation real estate broker and former West Texas Program Manager for The Nature Conservancy.
Albert Miller, Valentine, Jeff Davis County rancher, rights holder, board member Far West Texas Water Planning Group and Jeff Davis County Groundwater Conservation District.
